The prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade has, this year, been awarded to a thriving Lancashire business. Our business editor, Julie Lightfoot, has the details.
Language Insight is a language services provider based near Preston. With additional offices in London and New York, they specialise in transcription, translation and interpreting across a range of industries. This is an incredible achievement for a local business; the Queen’s Award is the most significant accolade that can be bestowed upon any UK enterprise. Founded by Managing Director, Donna Twose in 2009, the company has demonstrated outstanding year-on-year overseas growth to become one of the UK’s most trusted language service partners. They are one of few Language Service Providers to be globally accredited for both Quality Assurance (ISO 9001) and Information Security (ISO 27001).
The company has expanded from its UK operations and employs staff around the globe including Germany and the US – plus there are plans to open additional offices this year.
Donna told Podio, “It is a huge honour for Language Insight to have won The Queen’s Award as it recognises our successes here in the UK and overseas. Achieving this is the result of an impressive team effort and a strong management team driven by the core values of the business”. She continues, “We have grown significantly in recent years which has positioned us as leaders in market research translation. Our reputation for exceptional delivery to our clients is matched only by the passion and commitment of the Language Insight team. This is an incredible boost for us and is an exciting time for the business.”
