#ArmyOfAmigos

To celebrate two years of producing our pocket sized publication – in our spare time & often alongside or despite work / health / family commitments, we’ve decided to start shouting out to those who support us along the way – whether through volunteering time or skillsets or via logistical or financial support. We’re all about celebrating the good, so it’s about time we celebrated those nearest & dearest to us too right!?

Hardcore Superstars:

Irene – on board from day one; attends events, writes articles and proof reads the final copy for us before it goes to print. Irene has her own business – providing English tutoring, bespoke poetry writing and proofreading services: starfishenglishservices.co.uk. She is now a Director of Positively Preston CIC, the community interest company now tasked with furthering Podio Preston’s work.

Alys – also on board from take-off, Alys recently volunteered to become Financial Director for Positively Preston CIC. A qualified book keeper, she owns thriving accountancy firm, togetherwebalance.co.uk. She graduated from Cambridge University in the 90’s & has lived in Preston with her family since. As well as Podio, Alys supports the broader Global Amigos projects.

Conor – UCLan graduate, Conor, has been on hand to support the logistics behind Podio since day one. Despite working full time for the company that owns Theatre Street Bar & Grill and the newly launched A Mano’s, he still hits the streets occasionally to spread some positivity with us! #LocalLegend
