This is the last time I’ll write an Editor’s letter whilst on British soil. I shall be overseeing (at least) the next few editions from my new home in Thailand (find out more about the plans in the centre page spread of this edition).
It’s funny that, as I prepare to depart this beautiful city, there are literally thousands who are setting up new homes here. I am of course referring to students returning to, or starting at, the University of Central Lancashire. The management teams here at Podio Preston and Global Amigos HQ debated on whether we should launch a student edition of our pocket-sized publication in addition to this standard Autumn edition. In the end, we felt it wasn’t necessary; that Preston is one city with activities and achievements that could be promoted to, and celebrated by, both demographics. After all, we aren’t exactly short of division in the world…
So whether you’re new to our little northern gem, or have been about for donkeys, a big hello. Come on in, get in touch – and get on board if you have things that you’d like to get published!
Preston, it’s been a pleasure – See you soon!
