Editors Letter

If you’re heading out of town for the holidays pop this in your bag for the journey. Whether you’re reading Podio for the fi rst time, or you now consider yourself a repeat reader, hello! We hope you enjoy the pages that follow. If applicable, please support our advertisers; we are committed to providing quality inspiring content & featuring only a handful of key organisations. This means those who feature really are special. Speaking of which, congratulations to Preston BID (organisers of the christmas concert amongst other things) who recently won another term in offi ce after securing 92% of the (rateable value) vote from PR1 businesses. a special shout out also to independent coff ee shop, Ham & Jam, who have off ered all our lovely readers a free hot chocolate as part of their one year anniversary celebrations. as the nights draw in, it can be easy to switch off from what’s going on around us.

Hopefully, our pocket sized mag will give an insight into some of the activities lined up & shed some light on some of the many organisations doing good work. as always, please give us feedback via social media or when you next see us on the street. New ideas are always welcome too.

This time last year I was living in 40 degree heat volunteering in a remote village in Latin america. Despite the northern chill, I must say it feels lovely to be back in my hometown, developing our third (hopefully inspiring) edition for you guys… Here’s to a very special christmas.
